Feedback on unit 12 (initial)
Feedback on unit 12 (improved) |
Comments on feedback (improved)Overall I think I have made really good progress in the past weeks and lessons. I have went back and reviewed everything I have done in Unit 12 and added all the missing work whether it was pre production or just some added pieces of research, I think by the end of this or next week I would be finished with my Unit 12. I have not only been using lesson time but also homework and extra time to make sure my work has been done to the best standard and that it is well written and structured and that I have used key terminology.

peer feedback
After creating and finishing my final products of the advert I asked one of my peers who had taken media as a GCSE option and has also done the same task as I have and also created the advert. Below I have put the feedback received and what I think of the feedback:
- "For the first one, I liked the contrast between the black and white background and the teal text and how the model fits the whole frame. The added design is subtle but still draws attention, the logo doesn't seem to clash with the ad itself and the paint effect on the picture is appealing." I agree with my peer and I think my target audience and focus group would also agree that the contrast between the black and white and the teal text really work and the positioning of the text works very well with how the model is sitting and how she fills the frame
- "For the second one, I like how large the text is and you've followed the rule of thirds in its placement. The minimalistic text suits a billboard and the photo isn't too saturated." Once again my focus group would agree with this .
- "For the third one, again its quite accurate in the form of a magazine and the amount of text is ideal. The different font sizes also have a good effect." I would also agree that the text size variety look very professional and appealing.
- "For the first, I personally thought it was better suited for a billboard due to the easy to read fonts and the minimalistic text, but everything else is fine about it. " Some of the people in my focus group had also thought that the social media advert would have also suited the billboard however still prefer it as the social media advert as it would suit the spacing and the framing and the size and that if I were to use the billboard advert as the social media advert the sizing would be off and it would be too much to look at.
- "For the second, the double layered font would make it hard to read while driving, making it possibly unsuitable for a billboard. Also, using the image twice didn't exactly work for me (personally)." Here all of my focus group had really liked the idea of repeating the images and making the background image darker however, that may have not suited my peer's taste and that is fine as my target audience liked it. Adding on, I would agree that the double layer font may have made it harder to read if driving however, putting thought into it, the minimum age for a driver's license would have to be 17 and above and studies show that most drivers around the world and in England tend to be at least 18 and so I think that most of my target audience would not be driving and it may attract the passengers or just people in the streets and so on.
